One day my classroom went to Castlecliff beach to learn about beach safety. Three things things I learnt about it is that rips are dangerous because if you get in one you get pulled out to sea. If you spot one then stay out. This is how you spot them, if the water is a differnt colour then the sea then it is a rip. We saw how fast you have to be to get changed if you were a lifeguard, some kids tried to do it in a race. I also learnt that the lifeguards boat is actually called I.R.B which stands for inflatable rescue boat.
